My name's Guardy, 'n I'm here to bother you all with fandom content and assorted pop culture nerdery. My current main fandom home is "Emergency!", you might also know me from my Hornblower days a few years ago.
This journal currently mostly serves as an archive for my meta posts on tumblr, since Staff can't be trusted to not nuke their own asses, but I'd love to pop in and actually be social every now and then, so don't be afraid to say hi.
Also, my tagging heavily relies on searching with multiple tags - you can do that by editing the URL. For instance, if you want to see all my posts including Emergency! gifs, just click on the ".fandom: Emergency!" tag:

E! Random Thoughts: Season 1

These are best read while having the actual episodes at hand, and since I'm going through the episodes chronologically, these may also still be a bit rough around the edges since they were the first posts of that kind I did.

Whelp 2: Electric Boogaloo

three years! or so! Two 'n a half?
Anyway. Tumblr's doing some absolute bullshit again (Post+! ~Monetize your Fanworks~! Oh I cannot believe the idiocy), and I figured that, since there's A) a pretty good chance these utter dumbasses are going to get their collective asses sued and won't have the resources to not let the site crash and burn and B) I've actually done shit on tumblr since mid-2020 that I am very emotionally attached to, I should probably start mirroring everything I did that I don't generally have a local copy of onto here and actually use this thing for a change.
So, this is your warning: there's actual content incoming now. Run for the hills! Aaaah!
It's mostly gonna be a fandom none of the three folks subbed to this journal have ever heard of, too, so let me very quickly introduce you to the love of my fandom life since June 2020: Emergency! (1972).
TL;DR:
This is Johnny.
And this is Roy.
And this is them together.
They're firefighter/paramedics - some of the first, since the show's about the start of the paramedics program as a Thing, which is fascinating - working for the LA County fire department.

But I also utterly fell in love with its sometimes genuinely surprising level of progressiveness and general sense of optimism.

I mean, I've been reading the old AssCreed kinkmeme for years and also some Hornblower stuff - the few figments of that fandom that moved here from LJ, anyway - but I've never signed up until now, because DW is scary and confusing.
So, the name's Guardy. I do fandom stuff, I also do original stuff. I enjoy nerding out about old shit, and I have MANY OPINIONS about vampires in literature.
